Nathan Caine (Jack Quaid) is a mild-mannered introvert with a rare disorder called congenital insensitivity to pain. Nathan’s life seems to be on the up when his coworker and the girl of his dreams, Sherry (Amber Midthunder), starts to take a interest in him.
That happiness is short-lived when Sherry is taken hostage during a bank robbery, forcing Nate to take action. Seemingly way out of his depth, Nate, with some assistance from his online gaming friend Roscoe (Jacob Batalon), uses his inability to feel pain as his greatest weapon and sets out on a mission to save Sherry and start their relationship.
