trailer
When her husband, William Wirt Winchester, dies at the age of 43 from tuberculosis, leaving her the majority shareholder in the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, Sarah Winchester (Helen Mirren) is convinced her family is cursed. Her baby daughter Annie died years earlier from malnutrition and now Sarah believes she's being haunted by the ghosts of those killed by the Winchester Repeating Rifle.
Wanting to get a fresh start, Sarah moves west to California to be with family and begins construction on an enormous mansion, hoping to appease the spirits and keep them at bay. But when San Francisco psychiatrist Eric Price (Jason Clarke) is sent to the estate to evaluate her state of mind, he discovers that her obsession may not be so insane after all.
