Our Little Sister
trailer
The lives of three sisters subtly change when they meet a teenage half-sister they'd never met.
Sachi (Haruka Ayase), 29, Yoshino (Masami Nagasawa), 22, and Chika (Kaho), 19, live together in their late grandmother's home in Kamakura. They've lived there for years, since their parents divorced and went their separate ways, leaving the girls with their grandmother.
When they receive news of their father's death, the three girls travel to the funeral. where they discover they have a half-sister, Suzu (Suzu Hirose), 15, from their father's second marriage. Suzu is living with her stepmother, their father's third wife, who is a bit of a flake, so they invite the girl to move in with them.
The three sisters adore Suzu, whose presence in their lives gives them a new purpose and direction. However, they discover that Suzu had a closer relationship with their father than they'd imagined, and it forces them to confront the reality of his abandonment of them.
