The Metropolitan Opera: The Magic Flute Overview

Dancing bears, flying birds, even a giant serpent— all are brough vividly to life through Taymor's ingenious use of puppetry. This abridged version is sung in English and features Nathan Gunn, Ying Huang, Matthew Polenzani and Rene Pape, conducted by beloved Met Maestro James Levine.
