Suburbicon
trailer
Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) lives in the quiet family town of Suburbicon in 1959. The sleepy town is idyllic, until the Meyers family moves in. Despite the fact that the Meyers are hardworking, honest people with a well-brought up young son, because they’re black, the good people of Suburbicon become more and more outraged, putting up high fences to block out any view of the family and eventually protesting outside the Meyers' home.
This sets the scene for a brutal break-in to occur without anyone in the town noticing. Two violent men break into Gardner's home and terrorize his young son, Nicky (Noah Jupe), Gardner's wheelchair-bound wife Rose (Julianne Moore) and Rose's twin sister, Margaret (Julianne Moore). The break-in not only ends in a death, but raises serious questions about the people of Suburbicon.
